spring progresses

Seed-starting going well so far - the entryway setup of shelves, shop lights, and seedling heat mats is doing its job.  I should have plenty of seedlings to share with friends and coworkers.  Cucumbers, melons, squash, tomatoes, peppers, bitter melon, tomatillo, ground cherry, Mexican sour gherkin.  I might start some flowers this week, just to give them a little bit of a boost.  We'll see if I get that far.

This year's Fedco tree order arrived:  2 cherries and a plum, to add to the many I already have.  And, being unable to resist the bareroot room at Jung, I've now started a dwarf pear grove.  Added 2 honeyberries to the row of berry shrubs out front, too.

Potatoes are planted - no mean feat, considering the sorry state of the wide row they were to go into.  Peas, early greens, etc., also planted, and some are up.

Boss gave her notice today.  Boss-of-boss will be interim boss.
Friending welcome, but lurking is fine too.

Constructive criticism is also welcome - whatever it is, trust me, I've heard worse.
