citrus

I know Halos are a marketing ploy.  They peel easily to show almost no pith, are seedless because fertilization is prevented, and are tiny and cute with a mild sweet inoffensive flavor.
And I like them.  I chain-eat them.  I feel like I'm supposed to like a citrus that is closer to nature, seedy, odd-shaped, and strong-flavored, and in need of some work to get to the good bits.  Especially after tales that citrus greening is supposedly going to eventually ruin our supply of citrus:  I should appreciate citrus in all its forms while it's available.
But there I go eating sacks of Halos.  I will comfort myself by noting that they are just specialized mandarins, which have been around since forever.  And like all citrus, they're seasonal and you'll always wish there were more.

I eat those things by the bagful. Like, a bag a week, which comes out to nearly three a day. Mmmmm. Vitamin c in a lovely wrapper.

Friending welcome, but lurking is fine too.

Constructive criticism is also welcome - whatever it is, trust me, I've heard worse.
