garden

Last Sunday I finally got the potatoes in.  This weekend I hope to do the rest of the garden:  all the heat-loving stuff, plus some second plantings, plus the rest of the drip irrigation.  But first  I need to clear and prep the rest of the wide rows in the "back forty"...the lawn has not yet completely released its hold on that part of the garden.

And it's in the 80s all weekend, and I'm more out of shape than usual, what with the extra level of sitting-in-front-of-computer we're doing at work these days.  Getting up out of the chair on a regular basis really does make a difference, if only to walk to the breakroom and back.

Well, I need the exercise, and I'll be very pleased with myself when it's done.

The raised-bed section of the garden continues to churn out all the spinach and kale I could ever want, plus assorted radishes.  Soon, I will have peas and fava beans.  The Siberian pea shrub has pods now, but they're still green and mostly empty.

Friending welcome, but lurking is fine too.

Constructive criticism is also welcome - whatever it is, trust me, I've heard worse.
