cranes

Sandhill crane parents work together to raise one or two children a year; the young cranes stick with their parents through the summer, and through the migration south in the fall.  You'll often see a family unit of three or four foraging together in a farm field or wetland.

This time of year, whenever I see two Sandhill cranes together in a field, I know there's probably a sad story behind it.
Friending welcome, but lurking is fine too.

Constructive criticism is also welcome - whatever it is, trust me, I've heard worse.
