ah, politics....

I still have a landline, although its sole use these days is to collect voicemails from my alma mater and from political candidates.  In the last couple of weeks I've had 1-2 voicemails per day.  Every single one of them touting Romney for president, usually by telling me how bad Santorum is.  One mixed it up by telling me how Obama-like Santorum is...which really made my brain hurt.

Our primary is tomorrow.  We get to choose which party's primary we want to vote in.  I'll stick to the Democratic ballot, thanks.

This is Wisconsin, though:  the Presidential primary is taking a back seat to the governor's upcoming recall election.

I do at least try to be an informed voter, even if I am a woefully non-participatory citizen.  Sample ballots are online, as are some meeting minutes.  Recent board meeting minutes allowed me to develop a preference for one county supervisor candidate over another, based on their comments regarding "just cause" vs. "at will" employment, along with some separate comments about pay raises.

Becoming more participatory would probably be good for me on multiple levels:  going to some local meetings would be a good argument for leaving work...um..."early".

Friending welcome, but lurking is fine too.

Constructive criticism is also welcome - whatever it is, trust me, I've heard worse.
